Quick post today. I’m tired from being up with baby girl early this morning. Her ear has been hurting her, but she hates medicine, so I spent the wee hours trying to get her to take some Motrin. We are off to the pediatrician at 11:15 this morning.
It was a productive weekend. I cut both boys’ hair, with just the clippers, and it turned out pretty good. It also went much faster than the last time. I also set up the seed starter kit and got the tomato seeds planted. All the other seeds either need to be planted closer to the last frost or seem to need to be started outside (maybe? I’m unclear on whether anything can be started inside or not, or only certain things).
We had a fun snow day last Thursday, but unlike everybody else around here, our district opened on Friday with a 90-minute delay.

Snow day fun: Had some sugar cookie dough in the freezer that my son made on the last snow day — made some cookies that my daughter decorated with St. Pat’s decor
Friday night, we went to King of Pizza. On the way, I stopped at the local deli and sold a crossword puzzle book for $5 to the cashier. Saturday, I babysat my nephew all afternoon, and my hubs and the kids built a snowman. Saturday night, I felt like hell. Not sure why; maybe fighting off another virus, maybe sore from shoveling. Fell asleep on the couch from 8 to 10 and then went back to bed around 12:30 am. So Saturday night’s dinner was pretty lame, egg noodles and leftovers and I don’t even know. But last night I got inspired by looking at recipes and ended up making Jacques Pepin Yukon Gold Potatoes, chicken nuggets, broccoli, corn, and a salad. Yeah, I know, chicken nuggets, but considering I was thisclose to doing take out, it’s not bad. The potatoes were good — my husband loved them — and easy, and I have some ideas for tweaking them next time.
Then we went to Sonic for ice cream for dessert, just because it felt like spring. 🙂
Awe poor baby 😦 I hope y’all get some sleep soon. My son had an ear infection a few weeks ago so I know your pain!
Thanks 🙂 I think the amoxicillin is kicking in. And she’s not being too bad about taking it, thank God!
